Taking ubiquitous waste upholstery from Hong Kong taxis, Billy Potts created a series of bags, wallets and furniture subtly referencing the materials’ origin and cultural significance through elegant, minimal design whilst keeping sustainability in mind. These products were developed and made in Hong Kong in collaboration with a family run car upholsterer’s shop in North Point and with the help of local craftspeople who applied their skills to this design problem.
